Ricardo Flores better known as "Poppy O" (@poppy_ohsoo) of Montega Cartel (@montega_cartel), was born in Camden New Jersey on May 4th, 1987 and raised in the Ablett Village section of the city. Poppy O first found his voice in 2009 after the tragic passing of his best friend "JJ" which inspired him to pursue a career in music.
Poppy O Released his first mixtape "N.O.W.D." Nightmare Of Wishful Dreams in 2012, followed by "L.O.W.D." Life Of Wishful Dreams 2013, "GO.W.D." G's Over Look Dreams 2014, and "From A City That Never Made It" in 2015 with features by JV The King & Philadelphia's Own Freck Billionare who was signed to NY Rapper Fabolous's "Street Family" Record Label.

Montega Cartel has been popping up on stages everywhere lately from Vera Night Club in Cherry Hill, NJ to sharing the stage at Onyx Night Club in Philly with DreamChaser's own "Omelly" and performing with other rising artist such as Asia Sparks (@sparklegirla), Quilly Millz (@darealquilly), and Ar-Ab's team "OBH". Montega Cartel also put on a stand out performance at the "End Of Summer Bash" (#828show) Presented by Eddro Jersey (@eddro9) and HypeCity Radio Show (@hypecityshow) @ Voltage Lounge in Philadelphia, PA.
