On Saturday afternoon, Caleb Williams, the first overall selection in the NFL Draft, made his much awaited Chicago Bears debut. Despite having little playing time, Williams demonstrated why he is the team's future. Williams showed off his extraordinary abilities in just 25 minutes of play, leaving Bears supporters wanting more.
During the Bears' opening drive, Williams completed his first NFL pass on a pivotal third-and-12. He had plenty of time in the pocket when he took a step and hit D.J. Moore for 12 yards to earn the opening down. Williams' precision and elegance were evident despite the windy conditions and close coverage.
The anticipation for Chicago's upcoming preseason matchup about Williams is growing.
