Mobb Deep & Raekwon 30th Anniversary Concert Recap The Fillmore Philadelphia

Philly stepped into a time warp as Mobb Deep and Raekwon took over The Fillmore for an unforgettable night celebrating the 30th anniversaries of their 1995 classics Mobb Deep’s The Infamous and Raekwon’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx. Both albums helped define the Golden Era and shaped the sound of East Coast hip-hop, and their impact was felt all over the room as fans packed in for a raw, authentic showcase of storytelling and street poetry.

Raekwon delivered the purple tape energy, running through staples like “Criminology,” “Ice Cream,” and “Verbal Intercourse,” while Mobb Deep brought the Queensbridge grit with “Shook Ones Pt. II,” “Survival of the Fittest,” and more timeless cuts. The crowd moved as one fans from the original ’95 wave mixed with the new generation that discovered these albums through history and influence.

The Fillmore became a living museum of hip-hop culture, and HypeCityShow was in the building capturing the moments, energy, and legacy that still resonates 30 years later.
