Making their debut at a Tiny Desk Concert, The LOX demonstrated the chemistry, charm, and practiced synergy that have made them one of the finest rap groups of all time.
During the small concert for NPR, the Yonkers trio performed some of their biggest hits, putting unique spins on timeless songs like “Money, Power, Respect,” “Recognize,” and “We Gonna Make It” by Jadakiss. Though The LOX was not known for playing live, they brought in drummer Daru Jones from Jack White, vocalist Le'Asha, and two Tiny Desk Concert veterans, Carrtoons on bass and Kiefer on piano, to help out.
To finish the show with the songs "We Gonna Make It" and "Money, Power, Respect," the group also brought in a string section.
The legendary rap group played eight songs in all, including “All For the Love” by The LOX, “Good Love” by Sheek Louch, “Good Times” by Styles P, and “By Your Side” and “Kiss Your Ass Goodbye” by Kiss.
