Who is Don Michael Jr.?
A Life Shaped by Music
Born and raised in Camden, NJ, Don Michael Jr. was immersed in music from an early age. His father, a former DJ and industry insider, exposed him to the inner workings of the music business. Despite growing up in one of the poorest cities in the country, Don had access to resources that set him apart—but also made him a target.
After a betrayal by close friends who robbed his home, Don turned to music as both an escape and a weapon. By age 9, he was experimenting with music software, and by 12, he was writing lyrics that would shape his future.
