A bombshell lawsuit accusing JAY-Z and Diddy of molesting a 13-year-old girl at a 2000 VMAs after-party has left the hip-hop community in disbelief. The complaint, filed by lawyer Tony Buzbee—who is also representing alleged victims in other lawsuits against Diddy—has generated intense online discussion. The case, which had previously targeted only Diddy, was recently amended to add JAY-Z as a defendant.
The complainant, Jane Doe, claims she was dropped off at Radio City Music Hall without a ticket to the VMAs. She approached several limo drivers before encountering one purportedly employed by Diddy, who allegedly stated that she "fit what Diddy was looking for." Doe claims that after being taken to an after-party, she signed an NDA and drank a beverage that made her feel "woozy." The accusation also mentions an unidentified female celebrity and details an alleged attack by both men. Via Roc Nation's social media pages, JAY-Z responded aggressively, denouncing the case as an obvious attempt at extortion. Reportedly written on his iPhone, Hov declared in a scathing statement: "I will not give ONE RED PENNY!!" He labeled Buzbee "an ambulance chaser in a cheap suit" and invited him to take the case to criminal court, where he vowed to clear his name.
In addition, JAY-Z addressed the personal toll the accusations have taken, expressing sadness for his family. "My wife and I will have to sit down with our children, one of whom is old enough that her friends are certain to see the press and inquire about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people," he wrote. As the allegations gain traction, the issue continues to spark discussions about truth, accountability, and the cost of celebrity in the entertainment industry. Will JAY-Z's claims of extortion be upheld in court, or will this case withstand scrutiny? The hip-hop scene is keeping a close eye on this unfolding story.
